Brantley (Block by Block) Awarded Capital Crossroads
August 23, 2001

On August 23, 2001 Brantley Services, Inc. was awarded the contract for the Special Improvement District in downtown Columbus, Ohio. This is the fourth Business Improvement District (BID) the company has acquired, including Louisville, Kentucky, Nashville, Tennessee, and Cincinnati, Ohio. The newest addition involves 35 team members located within a 25 square block area in downtown Columbus.

The Special Improvement District is setup with both Safety and Environmental Maintenance Ambassadors with the addition of a Project Manger, Supervisors and Dispatch Operators. All personnel will be charged with giving public assistance and directions as well as showing a visible presence. The safety ambassadors will serve as extra eyes and ears for the Columbus Police Department. In addition, the Environmental Maintenance Ambassadors will remove litter from all sidewalks and alleyways (both mechanical and manual), graffiti removal, snow removal and various other maintenance issues. Both positions are responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of the downtown area.
