Zammarelli Tabbed to be the Operations Manager for the Providence (RI) Downtown Improvement District

After a lengthy and exhausting selection process Block by Block has named Frank Zammarelli to the first Operations Manager for the newly formed Safety and Cleaning Ambassador Program in Providence , RI . The selection committee, comprised of representatives of the Providence Foundation, City of Providence , Providence Police Department and Block by Block selected Zammarelli after three rounds of interviews.

Zammarelli's twenty-two years of experience as a Providence City Police Officer made him an ideal selection to assist the Improvement District and City Leaders reign in the problems of crime, loitering, graffiti and overall poor perception of Downtown. The understanding of Downtown Providence operations and knowledge of key leaders are attributes that Zammarelli possesses and will be instrumental in his effectiveness in making Downtown Providence a safer and cleaner place to do business, live or just visit.

In his new position Mr. Zammarelli will be responsible for client and employee relations of the Providence Downtown Improvement District Ambassador Program. Specific duties will include setting the work plan for daily operations, recruitment, selection and training of ambassadors, and back office functions to include payroll, background screening and reporting. Zammereli will be responsible for the eighteen person staff, their mission, accomplishments and the extensive amount of equipment assigned to the program.
