Block by Block Creates Implementation Manager Position – Ferraro Selected

In an effort to enhance it's corporate support structure Block by Block has created an Implementation Manager position, which will be part of the corporate support staff. The employee selected to serve in this role will function to provide hands on management and facilitation of new safety and cleaning programs.

After completing a comprehensive selection process Block by Block has selected Gary Ferraro to serve in role of it's first Implementation Manager. Gary brings to Block by Block an extensive administrative and operations background from his career.

Gary began his career as a Los Angeles Police Officer and worked through the ranks of the department before retiring as a Commander of the Homicide Unit, with full honors accorded his position. Since retiring Gary has worked in the private sector managing his own private security company and has also served as the operations manager of a retail/wholesale grocer. Gary holds a bachelors degree in Justice Administration from the University of Redlands .

In his new role Gary will be responsible for the many details, which go into starting a new account. The core job duties of his role will include recruitment, screening, selection, training of new staff, equipment and supply procurement. Gary will spend the majority of his time in a new district once Block by Block immediately following the selection of Block by Block through the first week services are provided.

When asked about how he will impact Block by Block's operations, Gary commented, “The implementation process is one of the most critical things we do because a smooth transition to Block by Block is the first opportunity to reinforce a customer's decision in selecting Block by Block. The Implementation has to go right.”

Gary will spend the remaining portion of 2005 working with existing Block by Block staff members on new account implementations to learn the role, details and processes for implementation.
