Downtown Raleigh Alliance Chooses Block by Block
April 1, 2005

After careful review of potential bidders the Downtown Raleigh Alliance has selected Block by Block to provide management, staffing, innovation and support for their clean team, which had been previously operated by in-house staff. In an effort to organize and implement the new program the management team of Block by Block delivered comprehensive training to the staff in regard to methods and techniques for keeping the 110 blocks of Downtown Raleigh clean. In addition training has been delivered to staff members on all facets of serving those who live, work and play in downtown.

Part of the reorganization of the Downtown Raleigh Ambassadors under the direction and leadership of Block by Block was to unveil a new image package for on street services. Members of the Downtown Clean Team can easily be found working in the downtown area wearing the purple and green colors of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. In fact even the newly implemented litter collection vacuum has been emblazon in Raleigh Alliance green.

Block by Block is grateful for the opportunity to operate the Cleaning Ambassador Program for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.
